Eliot: Fully Furnished Studio Across From SLU Apartment

Grand Center

***Attention Guests: During the pandemic, SF Shannon is placing a 72-hour hold on apartments between reservations. We are doing everything we can to keep guest apartments clean and sanitized. Between each stay protocols include cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.). For weekly and monthly guests, SF Shannon is offering Covid discounts. Sorry, but discounts cannot be combined. Thank you, and stay safe.*** The Eliot is a fully furnished studio apartment across the street from St. Louis University. Everything is included: queen-sized bed, all towels and linens, dedicated internet service, and a full kitchen. Perfect for longer stays. Before your arrival, the Eliot will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You'll also find a range of cleaning supplies that you're welcome to use and complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc.). To keep our rates low, we don't replenish these items during your stay. Free permit parking is available, first-come, first-served. But you may not need your car here. This is a transit- and bike-friendly location. Numerous restaurants and bars, coffee houses, and all the amenities of a great urban center are within walking distance. This is an ideal location for discovering the best of St. Louis! A flat-screen TV has an antenna for local stations and a Roku for you to stream any services to which you subscribe. here's a gas range, frost-free fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware and utensils. Yes, there's a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Dynamic pricing ensures competitive rates. We welcome same-day reservations if you contact us before 2 PM Central Time USA. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Chopin. Smoking is prohibited. Guest Access: The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the basement, and shared hallways with other guests and residents. Located on the fourth floor of a seven-story building; you may access the apartment by stairs or elevator. Parking: Parking is first-come, first-served with a permit that you'll receive upon arrival. Please note that demand is greater than supply. If permit parking is already full, you may park at any nearby metered space at no charge between the hours of 7 PM and 8 AM Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sunday. Other Things to Note: The Eliot has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioner out of the window by the middle of November to clean it and store it for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioner in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate. In the winter months, the heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast. The Eliot also features a high quality space heater if you get too chilly between runs. The Eliot overlooks a busy arterial road. If you are a late or light sleeper, we have earplugs in the apartment. You may hear noise from the neighboring apartments, as the historic charm of the building does not include soundproof walls. We've had some guests complain about odors in the hallway, from residents who cook, smoke marijuana and/or cigarettes. We no longer rent to smokers, and want the building to be smoke-free! We have had this policy for eight years. However, when we instituted the policy, we did not force our residents who smoke to move. (Many residents who have lived in the building for decades.) We typically will confirm your reservation during our normal business hours (9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday Central Time USA). If you're traveling with an infant, we have a pack-and-play available for a $10 one time charge. On our website, please select it on the booking screen. On Airbnb, please let us know and we'll send you an alteration request to add the charge. FAQ: “How far is it to the Fox?” The Eliot is about 0.6 miles from the Fox. You should be able to walk there in 10-15 minutes. We’ve had lots of actors from the Fox stay with us! "How far is it to the America's Convention Center?" This apartment is about 3 miles from the Center. It should be drivable in about 15 minutes, or you may take public transit. “Is it safe?” Several of our staff members live in the building and have never had any problems. Owner Karen has lived just three blocks away for more than 30 years and absolutely loves her neighborhood! Anywhere you stay, whether in the city or county, you should be aware of your surroundings. Anywhere you park, you should never leave any valuables clearly visible. Why the name? The Eliot is named after notable St. Louisan and author T.S. Eliot. Eliot lived in the Central West End and attended Washington University.

I had an incredible one month stay at the Eliot apartment in St Louis while I was performing at the Fox Theatre. Cozy, clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen utensils. The building was secure and had accessible laundry in the basement. CVS, grocery store and many restaurants nearby. Quick and safe walk to the Fox Theatre. Highly recommend.

We had a four day visit with our daughter who is attending St. Louis University. The location of our accommodation was absolutely perfect. The suite is very quaint and has a ton of character. Everything was clean and snacks and Drinks were left for us to enjoy. We have stayed at a few hotels in St. Louis and for future visits SF Shannon will be our first choice.

Overall, very good stay as usual. Convenient location to the highway and several neighborhoods.. Parking seemed like it could be tricky, but we always ended up finding a spot right outside.

Accessing the building was simple and everything about the stay was comfortable. Loved all the little extras - tea, breakfast food, treats. Thanks for a great stay!

I came to stay at Eliot for the last 4 summers and it has become my home away from home. It is in a very convenient location for my work. I loved and enjoyed the beautiful sunset I see in the windows of Eliot. The welcoming food was so nice to have when I was too tired to get out after being on the airplane for 10 hours. I also liked that you provided cleaning and laundry service on Fridays! Thank you so much for making my stay so comfortable!!

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Eliot while I was in St. Louis for the NCAA Gymnastics Championships. The apartment is a nice size, with a great kitchen for quick snacks or meals. It is within walking distance of St. Louis University as well as a number of shops and restaurants.

This was neat! I was a little concerned at first when I got into the lobby, but then I opened the door to my apartment and settled right in. They thought of everything. I could live there and be totally happy! Walked around to some places to eat and had no issues. Staff was AMAZING and helped when I couldn't get the key to work. I was in town for a conference and my quick Uber ride downtown was about 9 bucks. The communication and app for my stay was the neatest thing that I have ever seen and I couldn't be happier!perfect for one person or a couple. They thought of everything! THANK YOU from a happy girl in Portland Oregon!
